How To Get Views For Your Video

Our church does a live stream of a service on Sunday, and during Lent we've been doing the mid-week service as a live stream too.

Technology is very good when it works, and very bad when it doesn't.  There doesn't seem to be any kinda good or kinda bad with it.

A couple of weeks ago there was some difficulty with one of the services, and the live stream didn't work.  But our tech director did manage to record it and put the recording out on YouTUBE later.  However, the original video stayed there, where it was posted.  You could begin to watch it and then it flipped and froze up.

The tech guy must have been very frustrated.  I can't blame him.  But he titled the video DON'T WATCH THIS VIDEO!!!

When I opened my subscriptions on YouTube the next day I saw the unsuccessful video next to the subsequent upload.  The successful video had gotten 12 views.

The one that was entitled DON'T WATCH THIS VIDEO!!! had 53 views!

People can't look away from a traffic accident either.  :-)

Don't go looking for it.  We've retitled it, but at least now we know how to boost viewership!

Rock on...
